citizens of Bellevue naturally were enraged when the
Nebraska Territorial Legislator then living in Glenwod
 Iowa voted to have the capitol built in Omaha rather
 than at Bellevue, which was certainly closer to
Glenwood, Iowa than was Omaha. After all, hadn't the
 people of Bellevue been having their weekly newspaper
 printed in Iowa and giving the Iowans other valuable
business? There were no Mormon mayors left to mediate this serious matter, but no shots were fired and the
next election undoubtedly ended the term of the non-resident legislator.
