"Early in the morning I was on the ground for the city plot in company
with the Twelve & others. Br Young was the chief surveyor of the plot.

"On request of Prest. Young council was again called to order. Prest.
Young reported 60 lots surveyed today that the new location_____ by
father Eldredge Cope disappointment Main Street runs 22 1/2 (degrees)
west of north. south wind? was Hoderr? the distance from creek to creek
is about 1 mile width & south. there is a size of ground near the center of
the location suitable for a location for a council house. voted that the
General council house be located on the rise of ground near the centre of
the Location. and a special Council house in the north end & that C.P.
Lott be a committee to instruct the brethren where to plough on the south
