(war of 1812) recession of 1819, built on
the Council Bluff of, 1804 journal
entry is "well Calculated for a fort to command
the Country and river..."; soldiers constructed
saw mi9ll, grist mill. brick yard, dairy station,
coper shop. blacksmith shop & laundry.
