12/ Mormon Bridge Road; Winter Quarters on the table
 land overlooking the Missouri River where the Omaha
 waterworks are today; Summer Quarters perhaps two
 miles northwest of present Ft Calhoun; and Elkhorn
Camp west of Cutler's Park along the Elkhorn River
where the occupants spent some time putting in
 piers to bridge the Elkhorn River the next spring.
Likely the dramatic increase in the size of the
river in spring run-off caused the Mormons to
 resort to a ferry crossing for the Elkhorn the
next year.
